LEADERSHIP FUNDAMENTALS

Participants start by taking a clear look at who they are now as a leader, individually or as a working unit. Next they identify where they want to be, and then move directly into how to get there. Practical application is not given leftover minutes in this approach: everyone leaves class with a working plan for implementation and a results-oriented mindset. Hodack Consulting can provide individualized coaching follow-up as needed.

I work one-on-one and in groups with emerging leaders (including new hires) to strengthen their skills and interactions as they navigate strategic and tactical challenges such as:
  • having difficult conversations
  • holding yourself and direct reports accountable
  • developing your workforce
  • critical thinking
  • conducting effective meetings
  • managing colleagues across disciplines (technical/non-technical)
Adapted around the specific needs of the company/individual, my training programs create a secure setting for leaders to develop valuable skills that will help them differentiate themselves for the rest of their careers. Each leadership session is designed as a 2-to-4 hour immersion that can be tailored to the needs and behaviors of individuals and teams.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Hodack Consulting creates training modules that are tailored to the needs of the business and its employees. My approach to instructional design begins with a deep dive to identify key needs and a comprehensive skills assessment. This ensures that the training is delivered in an ideal format and in a way that is universally understood and absorbed.

Your environment is unique and your custom training can be tailored to a few sessions or spread out and delivered over several months. That may include:
  • converting existing training to remote formats,
  • webinars for traveling executives,
  • in-person sessions with emerging leaders,
  • hands-on training on the floor with front-line workers, or
  • online workshops with entrepreneurs on another continent.
When needed, I design follow-up training at specified intervals to serve as a refresher for additional functionality, or positions and processes that may not have been in place or absorbed the first time around.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Program management focuses on helping an organization reach its overarching business goals through one or more strategic initiatives. I believe building a strong foundation for change begins with having an innate ability to develop and maintain strong senior executive relationships in order to match operational tactics with strategic vision.
In my work as a program manager I have had the opportunity to:
  • Manage onboarding and financial certification process for a group of 120 first year Investment Bankers at a large financial institute.
  • Lead a Fortune 200 company through the rollout of an electronic filing system across its North American division.
  • Create a detailed scope of work and implementation plan for a new business unit that needed an entirely new training library for customer support, sales, financials, critical thinking and leadership.
